Most people who are clued up on search engine optimization will agree that submitting articles to a huge amount of article directories is great for helping a website increase its rankings. In fact it does not even matter if it is not done in particular for this purpose alone. Whether it’s for gaining recognition as an individual with highly informative articles, doing affiliate article marketing or trying to build website backlinks it serves great purpose and is highly beneficial either way.

Article directories play an invaluable role in link building. Whether it is a client’s website, or yours, you need to build link equity. Without authoritative backlinks coming into your site, it will never become the high ranking power house that you dream it to be every night. Everyone wants to win the lottery when it comes to building the next “big time” website, but no one is willing to buy the ticket, and put the work in. Don’t try to create articles and add affiliate or sales page links. Create an article with good content, interesting enough to drive the reader to a blog or a web website with more information on the topic.
